My husband and I love to fly fish, so when we decided to travel to Chile in November 2004, we did some research on where to fish. We didn't want to go to an expensive fishing lodge for a week, just wanted to find a guide who would take us out for a day or two.
Fishing was incredible both days, and we caught browns and rainbows. Baker river was very beautiful, and the scenery was spectacular!, there were many glaciars along the way.
We set up a picnic lunch on the river bank with great food that the our guid's wife had prepared as well as a variety of drinks, including wine. People there was very charming, as well as passionate about the fishing. We had very interesting conversations with our guide, learning about Chile.
We would definitely go back there, and hope to one day.
